Sex, Sleep and Scrubs…
Well this is about as personal as my blog is likely to get…
If only because I don’t like personal blogs…
A short story about my life…
Or at least the bit of my life between about midnight and 2am…
Well the story begins with, I’m a uni student, currently on my easter holiday. Now this is all fine, but I’m going back to uni next week and therefore NEED to fix my sleep pattern which is currently a bit skewed towards going to bed at 3am and getting up at about 1pm…
Now most people I know would solve this problem by staying up all day and then sleeping at about 10pm… I don’t like this so I just set my alarm clock and then snooze it for a while before getting annoyed and getting up at about 11am, a far more reasonable time, and try and get that time closer to the first beep of the clock at 10:30am.
So I get tired earlier and go to bed earlier.
All’s well and good.
Except…
Channel 4, in their wisdom put a double bill of scrubs on E4 at about 12am.. . sometimes closer to 1am, and even when I go to bed super earlier I manage to hit at least one of these episodes, which is good. I like scrubs…
But THEN they repeat them on E4+1 which I think “well I didn’t watch both episodes properly so maybe if I just watch one…” and turn over onto it, if only to escape watching the start of the simple life, which is frankly hellish!
So I end up going to sleep at around 2am, so my sleep pattern remains fucked… this is not good!
Now I know what you’re thinking
WHERE’S THE SEX?
Well, it’s here… during the add breaks there are alot of adds for “Text your post code to 888324234534252452345 (or whatever the number is) and meet hot sexy women in your area, they’re on the line waiting for your message”. These adverts don’t bother me much (and I do wonder what the executives where thinking when they came up with “Bent Chat”), but who texts them? Single desperate men? But you never see adverts for women to text similar numbers so, do the people who use these lines not realise they’re never ever ever going to meet any local women this way as they’re just being paid!
Now I bet none of you where expecting that post when you read the subject ![]()
