This annoys me, not the scientists doing it but the journalists, it’s another example of silly reporting.
Yep the hydrogen compound may well superconduct at room temperature, but you’ve got to have all the kit to compress it which really is not that easy at all! AND when you compress it the damn thing heats up so you’ve still got to cool it!
Impractical!

I like analytical dynamics, people will think me weird for this. But it is so much more pleasant than newtonian mechanics. Who needs forces when you have energies!

Zoology isn’t my thing but…
I’ve recently been reading “Last chance to see” which is a supurb book writen by Douglas Adams and Mark Carwardine. It’s an account of their trips visiting endangered animals around the world for a BBC radio series.
