An <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/alexknapp\/2011\/11\/17\/physicists-create-light-from-nothingness\/\">article in Forbes<\/a> is the kind of thing that opens up that door.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After rotating the SQUID at those high speeds, the team were able to detect several real photons that were essentially created from nothing. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>No, not essentially.
