So this is (for many of us; some people have been born since 2004) a <em>twice<\/em>-in-a-lifetime experience.  However, if you missed the last one, this is it \u2014 you won&#8217;t get another chance until 2117.  In the US, the sunset will interrupt the transit.  For much of South America or western Africa (or anywhere in Antarctica), you&#8217;ll miss out if you stay where you are.
