{"id":8546,"date":"2011-04-27T11:17:14","date_gmt":"2011-04-27T16:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.scienceforums.net\/swansont\/?p=8546"},"modified":"2011-04-27T11:17:14","modified_gmt":"2011-04-27T16:17:14","slug":"predictions-are-easy-for-predictable-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.scienceforums.net\/swansont\/archives\/8546","title":{"rendered":"Predictions Are Easy for Predictable Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A scant four months ago <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.scienceforums.net\/swansont\/archives\/7483\">I made a prediction<\/a> of what would happen if gas prices rose significantly.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[T]he same people who cried \u201cSocialism!\u201d every time the Obama administration tried something (other than tax cuts for high-income people) to jump-start the economy will wail for government intervention to lower the price of gas.<br \/>\n\u2026<br \/>\nThey will do this without recognizing any irony.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I just read this, originating from the speaker.gov blog, so it&#8217;s Boehner&#8217;s position \u2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.speaker.gov\/Blog\/?postid=238403\">Running on Empty: Obama Administration Does Nothing to Address Skyrocketing Gas Prices<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I hereby claim success.  It didn&#8217;t even take until $4 a gallon.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also funny how they claim that Obama&#8217;s policies are the cause and in the same breath observe that this oil-price spike happened in 2008 for the same reasons as the current spike.
