The punch die process by which coins are coined introduces a fundamental asymmetry. Put a collection of randomly oriented coins on edge, then horizontally tap the table. Heads/tails ratio is not 50:50.

A flipped perfect coin is still not a 50:50 outcome.
Go for shot noise and gated observation.
