I know this is humor, but I have to say that I’ve attended talks by Nobel prize-winners that were quite good. It probably helped that they were atomic physics prize-winners, though.

Great, now you have me worried about what category my mathematical physics talk today will be in! 😉
As long as the graph can be plotted on a flat piece of paper without recourse to an n-dimensional jacobi manifold then you are ahead of the game.
Only Nobel laureates (Economics and Medicine) I have heard have all been of the Feynman Poetry category
