Errrrk!

On the vagaries of random playlists on the iPod:

The transition from Bobby Darin’s “Mack the Knife” to RHCP’s “Funky Monks” at oh-dark-thirty in the morning, before caffeine and not really fully awake, is a little harsh.

I’m just sayin’

« “Land, Land. . . Ah, Land: see Snatch.”

I prefer Beyond the Sea, but Mack the Knife is rather good as well.
Have you seen the Kevin Spacey film about Darin? I ended up liking it much more than I thought I would.

It’s what came up on the playlist. I like “Beyond the Sea” as well, but “Mack the Knife” has the nostalgia of the German version (Mackie Messer) being played for us in class when I was taking German in high school.
