is probably not one that assuages the fear.
It may be beautiful for a spider, but it’s still a spider, and therein lies the fundamental problem. So yeah, still ugly and scary in my book.
i killed some gnats, put them on my notebook and put a jumping spider on the other side. it walked along a bit and stopped when it apparently saw the gnats. it hunkered down and LEAPT right on one of the gants from several inches away. very cool. then i looked around to make sure there wasn’t a giant spider 100 meters away eyeing me…
