Exposing a Climate Science Fraud
I’m shocked —shocked! — to find that someone is playing fast and loose with global warming analysis to support their position. Some aspects of this is the statistical significance game George Will played some time ago by looking at short sets of noisy data, only this time it’s a scientist — someone who should know better.
Tha Carboniferous Era laid down about 70 cubic miles of petroleum, a carbon-for carbon addend of natural gas (methane), and an awesome volume of coal. Current planetary recovery is about 0.5 mi^3/yr of coal, 1.15 mi^3/yr petroleum, and 1.1 mi^3/yr liquefied natural gas equivalent. Push come to shove, petroleum and natural gas have their needles hovering toward “Empty.”
