Second power outage in two weeks. This time, 12 hours; came up about half hour ago. Stuff makes a bit of a racket when it all turns on at once.
Update: Power went out at work, briefly, in the offices in my part of the building. I’m cursed.

Silly Blog Games, Part I: Robo-Tag
In my brief time in the blog-o-truncated-icosahedron (I’m not convinced it’s a sphere), I’ve gotten to know and be indifferent to the automatic pingback. The strange and wonderful spiders/bots that crawl the web and look for keywords, and link to your blog post. Much of the time, it happens because of some innocuous term you’ve included — just yesterday, I wrote about some non-hoops player being officially included in the NBA draft, and made mention of the NFL, and got a pingback from somebody’s NFL-themed blog. I mentioned taxes the weekend before April 15th, and got three tax-related pingbacks. They obviously were not from people who had read the post.
So I got to thinking, (always a dangerous thing)

Having Some Trouble
FYI, I’m having a smidgen of trouble uploading some files to the server for the posts I’m working on. (which is why some posts accessed through RSS won’t show up — they were published and then unpublished as I tried something out that didn’t work)
I know most men wouldn’t admit to having trouble uploading their files, or would try and brag about how many Megabytes they were. But I swear this has only happened once or twice before. It’s not you … it must be the stress.
edit: my “little problem” seems to have been fixed. Though if I keep uploading for four continuous hours, I’m supposed to consult my netdoctor.

The RSS link gives a 404 error. Workin’ on it. I’m new at this.
