New York, New York, a helluva … ship

1 March, 2008 (10:10) | History | 2 comments

The USS New York, a San Antonio class amphibious transport dock ship, is scheduled to be christened today. Normally state names are reserved for submarines, but there was a special request made for this ship, and it contains some steel from the WTC. I’m related to the skipper.
