BTW, watching football (and a little golf) in HD was great. I get NBC and FOX in HD on broadcast; CBS doesn’t come in (yet).

Fewer paying speed-camera tickets in Arizona
[W]hen state Department of Public Safety officers served 37 unpaid photo-enforcement tickets to Vontesmar recently, he wasn’t fazed.
The photos all show the driver wearing a monkey mask.
“Not one of them there is a picture where you can identify the driver,” Vontesmar said. “The ball’s in their court. I sent back all these ones I got with a copy of my driver’s license and said, ‘It’s not me. I’m not paying them.’ ”

Norman Borlaug, 95, Dies; Led Green Revolution
Norman E. Borlaug, the plant scientist who did more than anyone else in the 20th century to teach the world to feed itself and whose work was credited with saving hundreds of millions of lives, died Saturday night. He was 95 and lived in Dallas.

I graduated with about $10k in debt from college, much of which was deferred while in the navy and again in graduate school. I paid off the last of it more than 15 years after graduation. I incurred no debt for grad school — teaching and research assistantships paid a stipend as well as tuition. Having a few times that amount of debt would have been tough.
